Where the Legend Begins is a 2002 Hong Kong television series produced by TVB. The series is based on the life story of Zhen Fu, a noble lady who lived during the Three Kingdoms period. It contains embellishments from folktales about Yan's romance with Cao Pi and Cao Zhi. The series was first aired in Hong Kong on TVB Jade from 24 June to 26 July in 2002.

It is the era of the Three Kingdoms (220-280 AD) as the one of the bloodiest in Chinese history. it tells the romance of Zhen Fu with Cao Cao and his sons Cao Zhi and Cao Pi.

During the Wu Zhou period, Wu Zetian's imperial examination system severely hindered the interests of the traditional aristocrats. They were prepared to prevent Wu Zetian from ascending the throne. The protagonist Pei Kun came to the divine city Luoyang and got entangled in the "fox demon" case as a wanted man.

Taking place during the period of the Three Kingdoms, 220 A.D., a story about the relationship between the emperor Cao Pi, his first wife Zhen, and his brother Cao Zhi. Zhen falls for Cao Zhi, and upon discovering this disloyalty, Cao Pi orders the execution of Zhen, and the banishment of his brother Cao Zhi.

A modern update finds the famous sleuth and his doctor partner solving crime in 21st century London.
