Nina Simone has always been hard to classify. The “High Priestess of Soul” was trained as a classical pianist, but branched out early into pop, gospel, jazz and blues, playing and singing everyone’s compositions and writing many of her own. At 28 years old, she had already been seen in many clubs and had recorded several LPs when in 1961-62 she agreed to be filmed, without an audience, in a New York City studio. With a justified reputation as one of the greatest jazz singers of all time, Nina Simone has lit up the music world with some superlative performances over the years. This footage is culled from shows in 1961 and 1962, and sees Simone tackling a number of songs alone at the piano. Among them are I Loves You Porgy, For All We Know, Sunday In Savannah, and many others.

In Jerusalem, between the west bank and the east bank, lies a promenade which serves as a border line between the Jewish neighborhoods and the Palestinian ones. To the wanderers on both sides, the view posed along its length is a view of the conflict (from the separation wall, through the Palestinian neighborhoods and reaching the Temple Mount). Turning back to the landscape, and observing the Israeli people overlooking it, the film turns the promenade into a "canvas" on which the Israelis celebrate its confused identity - between the day-to-day and the national holidays, between the flowers and the memorial monuments.

Accident-prone Gil wants a steady job but is dismissed by every company that recruits him due to his unfortunate habit of ending up in sexually embarrassing situations. Incredibly, Gil remains in his job and Annette marries him, but before the couple can have their wedding night Gil collapses on the bed and passes out from exhaustion.

In 1965, a community of 20 people-anti-psychiatry leaders, including Laing himself, and their former patients-move in together. Over the next five years, they collectively explore the definitions of madness. The film re-appraises the culture of oppressive psychiatry and multinational pharmaceutical companies.

Agatha Knabenshu arrives in a small town in Missouri to sell player pianos to the locals. She's fired after her disastrous sales attempts nearly destroy the town. The stranded saleslady becomes friendly with an equally bumbling inventor and moves in with his family. The two then try to sell his automatic milking machine, but things turn sour when their demonstration causes a stampede.
