Dong Soo and Seon Hwa met while studying in Japan. They come to Korea from Japan for a happy honeymoon. But after a short and sweet honeymoon, Dong Soo was in a hit-and-run car accident. In the end, he is diagnosed with lower half body disability. Dong Soo, who is pessimistic about his situation, lives under the influence of alcohol every day. When you have to enjoy a happy honeymoon, you will have a hard time of living. Seon Hwa, a Korean-Chinese, inevitably finds a karaoke hostess job where they can use their bodies. Japan and Iran are not in close relationship. More than 4 centuries ago, however, Persian carpets were used in the festival of Takayama, a historic city in mountainous area of Honsyu. A man planned to resume the carpet in the festival, and asked Kinue, a Persian carpet designer, to design it. Kinue's husband, Makoto, is a carpet importer. They send the design to Iran to weave the carpet. But just before Makoto goes to Iran to receive the carpet, Kinue dies of a traffic accident. A month before the festival, Makoto went to Isphahan, Iran, to receive the carpet. He brings his daughter Sakura, who does not open her heart after she lost her mother. To surprise, the carpet production has not even started. It will take 3 months from the start. For Makoto it means he betrays not only the festival planners but also his late wife.

In a far village, a paralyzed man collects herbal medicine in mountains for making his living with his sick child. The electricity goes off in his house and an electrician comes to fix it. However, the problem is bigger than what expected and may take days to be settled. When he sees the child in the sickbed, he feels committed to do whatever he can to bring the electricity back. However, he has a tough job ahead with facing nature and some unexpected events.

The film follows the fate of two boys, one of whom hopes to become an Olympic runner and the other a photographer.

Set in wartime at the Yawata Steel Works in Tobata, Yawata, and Kokura cities in Fukuoka Prefecture, the film depicts people taking on the evil blast furnaces that prevent increased production. The film was shot on location at the actual Yawata Steel Works for an extended period of time, and special effects were created using a miniature blast furnace that closely reproduces the actual one.

The yacht of millionaire Hellmann explodes in the Mediterranean Sea, with him and 8 men crew on board. Insurance agent Lucas investigates at the Cote D'Azur, because there's the suspicion that it could have been suicide. He finds out that Hellmann's villa was monitored, the tapes also contain information about the explosion. He uses them for blackmail.
