Where are you now, Tariq Teguia? is less a self-portrait - from Thessaloniki to Algiers, Lisbon or Beirut - than an attempt to escape it.

In this comedy, a mathematician is so bored and burnt-out with his career that he rebels, first by crawling under a table during an interminable faculty meeting and then by throwing his telephone away, locking his wife out of their apartment, and running off on his own. At this point, the comedy takes a turn when the rebellious mathematician follows a strange wheel and meets a goatherd who shelters him in his humble abode. Events change from a bit odd to totally bizarre as the mathematician continues on his journey of escape.

After the misunderstand is cleared his feelings begin to waver though. Is Eba, who keeps avoiding him for seemingly no reason, the one for him or is it Asuka?

Michio Okabe's only 8mm film, which was miraculously discovered in 2021 at the back of a closet in his room, after being unaccounted for and thought lost for a long time. He tied an 8mm camera around the neck of his dog Shiro and recorded the world as seen from the dog's point of view. Okabe's anarchy, in which he abandoned-looking through the viewfinder himself and let the dog shoot the film, is the quintessence of Okabe's work.
