This film is a response to Glasgow based artist Rosana Cade’s award-winning interactive performance of the same name, which invites audience members to embark on a carefully designed route through a town whilst holding hands with a series of different local participants. Shot entirely on mobile phones, the film follows the performance to 6 towns across the UK between June and November 2016, bookended by the Brexit vote and the election of Donald Trump. This unique collaborative documentary offers an insight into the intimate work at a particularly poignant time in terms of identity politics, weaving together a range of perspectives and experiences from across the country.

She is anxious but dreamy, alieanted but following the news. She is wandering through an unstable mental space in post-covid Turkey, affected by inflation, authoritarianism, pollution, unequal urbanization, neoliberalism and the feeling of isolation. It describes a mental noise caused by uncertainty and constant political instability and but also searches for humor and beauty in all this confusion, with a material and experimental approach to video.

Little heroine, a music school student, wanders through the backstreets of Warsaw's Old Town and discovers a world to which others have no access. A 17-year-old country boy named Norio decides his only option is to follow his late parents’ example and commit suicide. After failing even at that, his 34-year-old English teacher Akemi convinces him that he should instead move to Tokyo with her and become a lawyer on her dime. Unfortunately, Akemi doesn’t have quite as much money as she leads Norio to believe, and has to secretly get a job at a karaoke bar under the guise of “going to the salon”. Meanwhile, she continuously prods her somewhat dimwitted student to work harder toward her manufactured goal of him becoming a lawyer. Although Norio is falling in love with Akemi, he’s not all that interested in studying, and matters only get worse when he discovers his benefactor’s secret source of income.
