This film centers on the story of Reza, a recognized documentary director from Iran. In 2016, after being blacklisted by the Islamic Republic regime of Iran, Reza and his family are forced to leave their home and start anew in Los Angeles. Despite his expertise and talent, he faces numerous challenges, including a language barrier and limited connections in the film industry, that hinder his return to directing. Through perseverance and determination, Reza finds a new passion in film editing. This new-found skill not only gives him a sense of purpose but also becomes his means of overcoming the obstacles he faces.

For the younger generations, there is not much more, as this cataclysmic pandemic disease revealed at the end of the seventies, has decimated nearly 30 million people in just thirty years. An oversight? No. A habit. The bad habit of living with it, of believing that treatments that still do not save, make this threat harmless. It is time to rekindle the memories.

She wants her mother to join her in exile in Canada, so that they can finally be together in safety. But Ruby can't let go of her political ideals and choose her family instead. It is not just Yira's childhood that has been sacrificed. She has also sacrificed her own life and safety to such an extent that she has to drive around in an armoured car, constantly protected by armed guards. As the peacetime death toll continues to rise, Ruby is faced with a difficult dilemma. If she chooses her daughter, she gives up on her people.
