During the Mexican Revolution, brothers Ramón and Geraldo fall in love with Pilar who is uncertain of which brother she loves. Pilar ends up marrying Ramón but gets pregnant when Geraldo rapes her.

After the mysterious death of the father, a family - the mother, her son, and her two daughters - try to keep their life together on the island where they have always lived. Lost in the mourning process, without being able to share it, each member of the family unit, which teeters on the verge of breakdown, tries to face the situation. Entre-temps (Between-times) combines photos of Boltanski at different ages. Originally projected in a loop on a plastic curtain for its first exhibition at he Yvon Lambert gallery in 1996, it is presented now on a string curtain. We see the artist age and then returning to the childhood in a never-ending cycle.
