The Serious TV series is an observational documentary series made by the BBC and broadcast as part of their children's programming. It encompasses Serious Jungle, Serious Desert, Serious Arctic, Serious Amazon, Serious Andes, Serious Ocean and Serious Explorers. Serious Ocean consisted of ten 30-minute episodes, while each previous series was six 30-minute episodes. In each series a group of eight 12- to 15-year-olds embark on an expedition to an extreme part of the world, in order to help wildlife or assist in environmental projects. The programmes have won numerous awards, among them honours from BAFTA and the Royal Television Society.
So far only Serious Amazon, Serious Ocean and Serious Andes have been aired in Australia, on ABC1 and ABC3. The series has also been shown on Discovery Kids, where five complete seasons have been shown. Slovenian television Kanal A has bought the rights to air Serious Amazon. The show airs Saturdays at 2:10 pm, under the title Vse o Amazonki.

Starring Izara, Remy Ishak, Datin Diana Danielle, Uqasha Senrose and Hanna Aqeela, it is not a remake of Ombak Rindu The Movie (2011) but an adaptation of Fauziah's second and third novels Cinta Tiada Akhir and Rindunya Cintaku, respectively.
The series which is also directed by Osman Ali, is about village girl Izzah who is saved from a life of prostitution by Hariz, who buys her from a nightclub owner and makes her his mistress.
Izzah begs Hariz to marry her, and he does, on condition that she does not claim any rights as a wife. Hariz, however, is forced by his mother Sufiah to marry his childhood friend Mila Amylia, a famous model and actress.
The 2009 Ashes series was that year's edition of the long-standing and storied cricket rivalry between England and Australia, and was part of the Australian cricket tour of England in 2009. Starting on 8 July 2009, England and Australia played five Tests, with England winning the series 2–1. England thus reclaimed The Ashes from Australia, who had won the previous series in 2006–07.

The World Series of Blackjack is a televised blackjack tournament created and produced by the cable network GSN. It is a closed tournament; players are either invited to play or can attempt to win a spot via a satellite tournament. Rounds are edited into 1-hour episodes and broadcast on GSN. Matt Vasgersian and Max Rubin provided commentary for the first two seasons.
The third season began airing weekly on June 5, 2006 as part of GSN's Casino Night programming block, with new hosts John Fugelsang and Ben Mezrich.
Season 4 premiered on GSN on June 4, 2007. A field of 40 players, including Celebrity Blackjack champion Caroline Rhea, baseball star Orel Hershiser and magician Penn Jillette competed for a $1 million prize pool. Vasgersian returned as commentator.
