Red Norvo (so named because of his red hair) single-handedly transformed the xylophone from a vaudeville novelty to a virtuoso jazz instrument and was a perennial sideman to Frank Sinatra for nearly two decades. A true jazz master, Red's joined in this concert by jazz guitarist Tal Farlow, a close friend and gigging companion of many years. (Farlow and Charles Mingus were part of the legendary Norvo West Coast trio in the early 1950s.)

Many of her paintings reflect the anguish she suffered following an accident when she was 16 which left her in constant pain and unable to bear children. Both beautiful and frightening, Surrealist Andre Breton described her art as 'a ribbon around a bomb'. This programme was filmed in Mexico, particularly at the Blue House in San Angel where she lived, and provides a visual survey of her life and career.

It's a fun-filled hilarious romp through a bad dream that starts when Ray slips on a banana peel and all kinds of monkey business ensues.
A schizophrenic man who believes he is Jesus kidnaps women who refuse to believe his delusion He videotapes himself with these women he has tied up in various states of bondage. He sends videotapes to the media labeled "Gospels of Blood," which are just photographs of naked women in bondage, usually crucified in some way, with the camera panning and zooming over the photos. These photographs account for more than half of the running time. There is no sound, only a few title cards, although there is a soundtrack of heavy metal music.
