Apuesta por un Amor is a Mexican telenovela produced by Angelli Nesma Medina for Televisa in 2004. Patricia Manterola and Juan Soler starred as the protagonists, while Alejandra Ávalos, Roberto Ballesteros and Fabián Robles starred as the antagonists.

Laurent is a failed and lazy painter. When Camille, his childhood friend, invites him to his home to get back in touch, Laurent meets Thérèse, his wife, whom he falls under the spell. The man pretexts wanting to make a portrait of his friend in order to go to the couple's house every day. Thus, Laurent and Thérèse become lovers. Their love seems to grow, but it is impossible for them to fully live their relationship. They consider excluding Camille from their lives...

Un refugio para el amor is a Mexican Spanish-language telenovela produced by Ignacio Sada Madero for Televisa. It is a remake of the Venezuelan telenovela La Zulianita, written by Delia Fiallo and adapted by Nora Alemán and Georgina Tinoco. Zuria Vega and Gabriel Soto star as the main protagonists, while Jessica Coch, Humberto Elizondo, Laura Flores and Frances Ondiviela star as the main antagonists.

But some gangsters try to steal the map from him and so he hides on Charlie's boat which just leaves the harbor. He manipulates the ship's compass so that Charlie is not aware that he is sailing to the treasure island. But when they step on the island, they discover that it is not as abandoned as they believed: there are some natives - and a Japanese soldier still defending the treasure

It is both a letter and a reflection, and it concerns giving of one's self, sharing and exchanging. It is also a response to the other person's flight, the absence, the void. The images attempt to replace the fear and silence. A need sublimated in the exacerbation of pleasure conveyed by images and sounds, Lettre à un amant is a masterful conclusion to the series. At the same time, it poses several questions about the dichotomous love-image paradox present in love. This work also refers to an earlier work by Marc Paradis, La Cage, because of its erotic homosexual content and its many electronic applications. Richard Anger's original score was composed to emphasize the dramatic aspect while several processes proper to the video medium serve to peg the images in an aesthetic approach.
