Paladins in Troubled Times is a 2008 Chinese television series adapted from Liang Yusheng's novel Datang Youxia Zhuan. The series was produced by Zhang Jizhong, starring Victor Huang, Shen Xiaohai, TAE, He Zhuoyan, Liu Tianyue and Lu Chen in the lead roles. It was first broadcast on CCTV in 2008.

Aiming to become the best tour guide in the industry, Ng Ka-yee sets up a travel agency with his girlfriend Szema Shuk-ching but he goes bankrupt and owes a huge debt after being cheated by others. Ka-yee wishes to pass the last few months of bankruptcy peacefully and start a new chapter with Shuk-ching after marriage. However, Shuk-ching falls in love with his best friend Ching Siu-shan and Ka-yee is devastated. During this time, Ka-yee runs into the newly immigrated social worker Yik Suet-fei, his Dongguan cousin Choi Sum who dreams to be a singer in Hong Kong and the old singer Monrole who is looking for free meals everywhere. In addition, his younger sister Ng Chi-ching also returns to Hong Kong by lying to him that she has completed her master's degree in Taiwan already. Clara takes her daughter and her friends to a weekend visit at her grandfather's village. They all have a great time, but after they return home people start dying. First Clara's grandfather mysteriously drowns, then the children start getting sick and one, her goddaughter, dies. Around same time clients at the spa she teaches aqua-aerobics start getting sick with one dying. She finds some mysterious algea, related to Caulerpa taxifolia, planted near where her grandfather supposedly drowned. Clara suspects the algea and all of these illnesses and deaths are related to some sort of poisonings of fish caught near her Grandfather's village.

But, his thrill rides were hindered when he stumbled upon a sinister spirit by the roadside

The Troubleshooters is a British television series made by the BBC between 1965 and 1972, created by John Elliot. During its run, the series made the transition from black and white to colour transmissions. The series was based around an international oil company – the "Mogul" of the title.
