When she died around 1050 AD, a littleknown Viking explorer had become the most traveled woman of the Middle Ages. She had sailed across the Atlantic Ocean eight times and her travels extended from Iceland to Greenland, North America, Scandinavia, the British Isles, through Europe, and all the way to the Vatican in Rome. She was rescued by Leif Erikson from the shipwreck that earned him the nickname Leif the Lucky. Her name was Gudrídur Thorbjarnardóttir, aka the Far Traveller.

Blanca Luz Brum traveled an unusual path, through twentieth-century Latin America, actively participating in the intellectual, political and artistic movements of Uruguay, Chile, Argentina, Peru and Mexico. It is today a symbol of female emancipation in Latin America. The versions about her life are varied and dissimilar, the testimonies of those who knew her, full of contradictions.

A documentary about unemployed people who bought fruit and vegetables at moderate prices at the wholesale market and sold these in the streets of Frankfurt. Since they had no permits they were constantly with their bulky carts on the run from the police. One part of the film was shot at the fairgrounds in front of the wholesale market. Newspaper and lottery ticket vendors, propagandists offering their ware for a few pfennigs, all convey the mood of a time when need made people inventive.

While his depressed mother has been lying on the couch for some time and his father has disappeared, a clever boy of almost nine builds a time machine. In the voice-over, Markus tells what he has learned about time travel. He takes the viewer along to the past and the future, and what would you know? It is all far less complicated than you think, and at the same time much less is possible than you would like to. To be honest, after a while it is mainly boring, the precocious kid explains. But who is he actually talking to all this time?

In Nikolskoye village of Ruzsky district, farmers decided to restore the production of the first natural cheese of the Russian Empire. The tradition of making baked cheese dates back to 1795. The first cheese, named "Meschersky", was made in the home of Prince Meschersky in his estate of Lotochino. The sign of the village of Lotochina represents until now a merchant with a cheese wheel on a board. The prince had then brought from Switzerland a cheese maker named Johan Müller who developed a cheese recipe, founded a cheese-making school and settled in Russia with his family. Today, we managed to find his descendants; they live and work in the Alps. And make cheese. Very similar to the famous "Meschersky".

A film which focuses on "younger A-bomb survivors" who have no clear memories of the atomic bombings and their efforts, and frustrations, at passing on the A-bomb experience. The film follows them as they meet many people during a long voyage at sea, including victims of the Vietnam War and the sole survivor of a Nazi massacre of a Greek village, and start taking action to convey the bombings.

Travel Exercises is a short film about dreams, wanderlust and our capability to transform reality through the power of imagination. The film is shot on 8mm film in the summer of 2021 in Vuosaari, Helsinki.
