This documentary follows three activists to examine how HIV/AIDS plays out in the everyday lives of New Yorkers today and how community groups work to remake home as a space of caretaking, housing, and family. The film was originally featured in the Museum of the City of New York's 2017 exhibition, AIDS at Home: Art and Everyday Activism, which explored how artists and activists navigated the political stakes of domestic life in the face of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, from the early 1980s to the present.
"MacMillan's vision has been vital in shaping The Royal Ballet's style and repertory, and what better way to appreciate his art than with this rare chance to experience three contrasting works in a single performance. Abstract, dramatic, humorous - this programme gives a wonderfully varied introduction not just to MacMillan's work but to the beauty and dramatic power of ballet itself. Concerto, to Shostakovich's Second Piano Concerto, contrasts moments of exuberance and elegiac reflection. The Judas Tree places a single woman among 13 men to enact a harrowing event that is recognizably contemporary but with biblical overtones. Elite Syncopations completes the programme with a sparkling evocation of a dance hall that brings ragtime rhythms to the dance, and a ragtime band to the stage.
The disc features three hours of live and behind-the-scenes footage complied by the band with Bear Productions.
TO BE INTERRED OR NOT?An elegy? A reaction? Perhaps a tribute to the passing of one of the last masters of World Cinema Jean Luc Godard from a young emerging filmmaker who hails from the Southern part of the geographical center of the Far East where Christianity has taken its deepest root. Taking inspiration from the spectacular cinematic roadshows from Hollywood's Golden Age, this experimental documentary is both an observation and an elegy— juxtaposing scenes of Davao City recovering from the pandemic with the musical landscapes ranging from the 1900s onwards that Monsieur Godard might have heard in his formative years into being a force to be reckoned with during his international cinematic superstardom.
Widely celebrated as one of Britain's greatest filmmakers, Humphrey Jennings is a true poet of the cinema, and his work was the inspiration for Danny Boyle's Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. This, the last of three comprehensive volumes which bring together his entire directorial output, features the films he made between 1944 and 1951, and charts his transition from wartime to peacetime filmmaking. Featuring 'A Diary for Timothy', Jennings' much-loved collaboration with E M Forster, 'The Dim Little Island', a muted but affecting celebration of Britishness, and 'Family Portrait', the esoteric Festival of Britain film, this essential collection confirms Jennings as a master of the cinematic art.

This film is my response to the epic tradition, from Homer to the Mahabharata–V. G. “This film reflects everything (Grauer) has been involved with in his previous films and he uses this knowledge in a highly personal and non-mechanical way. No matter how well previous type of 'flicker' film is done, they essentially remain machine-like and impersonal. In BOOK, Grauer extends his vision to encompass much more.... The totality of the experience is a kind of wrap-around poem... None of the parts exist by themselves, everything is interwoven to produce a strong and hypnotic unity."– Bob Cowan, in Take One
