Single mom Dottie Ingels sells cosmetics in a department store, but she dreams of being a comedian. When she inherits some money, she takes the chance and moves with her two children Erica and Opel to New York to perform in small bars. Soon her agent Arnold Moss makes her famous, but while she travels all over USA, her children stay home lonely.

Phuwanai is the only son of Dr. Phutas, a geologist. He worked as a photographer for a feature magazine in USA. After being away from Thailand for so long, he goes back for a vacation. He vacations in Krabi and borrows a boat to go out to the sea for squid fishing at night. Ravina or Vina is a sassy and bossy superstar who is having financial problems. Her mother accepted the offer from Buangsuang, a businessman, to have dinner with Vina for money. They meet in a yatch, but Buangsuang tries to rape Vina so she jumps into the sea to get away from him.

The film is a series of comical musical numbers and skits following Phil Harris around, starting with him performing at the Cocoanut Grove nightclub, which is listened to by Dorothy on the radio whose home-brewing husband Walter hates Harris. The action then moves to the country club where Walter unknowingly encounters Harris while being aggravated by his music. Walter then pretends to be Phil to meet a woman while Harris "entertains" her friend, Dorothy. After returning from the army, Rustam easily and naturally fits into the environment of workers from a petrochemical plant. When her father and uncles die, Jone (Josemi's daughter) decides to make a documentary about the Ibarretxe Brothers. Pioneers in the Basque audiovisual sector, creative, cheeky and always up to something, they were devoted to cinema made in Euskadi long before it was a reality. Analysing their films and talking to people who accompanied them (Stephen Fry, Echanove, Ramon Barea, Santiago Segura, José Luis Rebordinos), Jone gradually comes to realise that their cinema is nothing more than a faithful reflection of their own selves.

The stories of Martin and Travis slowly converge, as the two men meet and find that they have much in common, not the least of which is an unspoken need for encouragement and support.
