"Nunca fui, mas me disseram..." is a fun documentary that approaches, in an smart manner, the South Zone residents' view about the Baixada Fluminense. Independent and experimental, the film brings up questions about media manipulation, prejudice, the segregation between regions of the same state and auto-protection; without the pretentions of answering or clarifying something, only to argue about the stigmas' origin.

This short educational film was produced by Vignette Films, one of the first Black-owned film companies. Its members were Leo Sullivan, Norman Edelen, Richard Allen, and Floyd Norman.

Or how Phillipe argued with boys who were throwing snowballs, because he wanted to defend Maud, which meant that he arrived late when visiting his antisocial mother. Or how Maud invited him to her birthday, or how Phillipe worked as a newsboy for J.Metz and used his wages to buy chocolates for Maud. Or how Jack gave the chocolates to Maud, and got into a fight with Phillipe, and finally how Maud and Philippe shared the chocolates, and kissed for the first time.
