With Há ouro em todo o lado (There is gold everywhere, 2023) we enter in the subterranean world of ruina montium – a technique used during the Roman Empire for gold extraction, largely explored in the Iberian Peninsula. In a movement passing from within towards the world, one senses a multiplicity of subjectivities that re-inhabit the large territory of the ancient mine. Há ouro em todo o lado is the first segment of the she-wolf trilogy, a series of films that trace the attribution of an industrial gaze in relation to nature, shaped by a movement towards forms of life that emerge within, despite and against that same context.

Everyone calls our hero Uncle Yasha (well, if officially, then Yakov Markovich Levitin). And he is certainly a historical person. People enter history in different ways - he entered with a movie spotlight. Yakov Markovich has been working as an illuminator at the Russian Central Documentary Film Studio for almost 57 (!) years. Over the years, he traveled around the country, saw many famous and important people (including all the political leaders of the country - from Stalin to Yeltsin). And he also "illuminated" the era. It was thanks to the light of the searchlights installed by him that it was possible to capture on film almost all the main political events of the second half of the twentieth century.

"There are things in this world that are yet to be named" centers around Solanum plastisexum - an Australian tomato whose sexual expression is unpredictable and unstable, challenging even the fluid norms of the plant kingdom. Footage of the team of botanists who recently used their Solanum research to explode notions of sexual normativity in any plant or animal is combined with a voiceover of letters sent between science writer Rachel Carson and her lover Dorothy Freeman. "There are things in this world that are yet to be named" is a meditation on erasure, indefinability, and the intersection of queer and environmental histories.
This short film presents four short narratives in a series of portraits where carelessness and natural urges clash with ambition and purpose.
