The second installment in the Thereabouts films series, 'Reprise' see's brothers Gus and Lach back in the saddle for a 600 mile journey across the Colorado Rockies. This time, the pair are joined by mates, Cam Wurf (AUS) and Taylor Phinney (USA) for an under prepared, weather beaten journey through the mountains and into the Utah desert.

The eye of memory does not see things in the same way as the physical eye, and many artists have come to regret this difference. Aravena Abughosh's attempt belongs to the category of successes. He has managed to account for the fragmentary and associative character of memory; for the vague emerging and dissolving of images, and even for the feelings that are so intrinsically linked to it.

After Maryam Tsegaye wins a global competition for students to inspire creative scientific thinking, she reflects on family, community and her sense of self as she prepares to leave home and start a new and promising chapter of her life.

Drawing from contemporary film productions, the work follows a character in a motion capture suit. The body mapping presents a possibility for the character to become potentially anything, with the movement transferring into any kind of digitally constructed body or being through post-production. Based on research of actors performing roles of ‘nonhuman’ characters, the work explores how we approach others in the fiction we produce, and subversively questions what happens when we are under the gaze of the Other.
