The second movie based on the 1985 TV anime.

Milan, Italy, now. Ray is at his favorite bar, where he waits for his friends, Scarpa and Il Divo. Ray is celebrating his 70th birthday, but the bartender – as anyone else in the world – does not care at all. Scarpa and Il Divo – both 70 years old – arrive. They have a special present for Ray. And a plan. The present is a gun, the plan is to go to Rome and achieve something epic, something everybody will talk about.

Late in the 1980s, two documentary film makers found six German men, all in their 60s and 70s, who had been soldiers in the German invasion of the USSR in 1942. Each carried an 8mm camera into battle and they still had their film. "Mein Kreig" alternates between interviews with these older men, now apologetic, philosophical, or defiant about their participation, and the footage they shot. It's chronological: basic training, the train trip East, roof-top vistas of war-torn Warsaw, peasants in Belarus, the downing with carbine volleys of a Russian plane, winter, a holiday at the Black Sea, mud, impassable roads, death, destruction and retreat. "Home, that was the front," one says.

It can be considered not only to be a message about how easily people allow themselves to be manipulated into a state of paranoia by the media, but also a warning against the possibility that extremism will become a part of the regular school curriculum.

War Dancing tells the tale of Slammer, a small-time hood whose life changes when he is allowed to take part in a music video shoot. He begins to feel that a career in music might get him on the right track, but the video's choreographer dismisses Slammer's attempts at dancing. This gives Slammer the righteous anger he needs to improve his skills and show everybody he can besuccessful.

Dead Hand episode 2. Last day of war. Last war broke out. All people are dead, but the machines continue dutifully follow orders. On the automatic base machines fueling and charge the weapons of last surviving bomber preparing to drop bombs at the dead enemy city. This happens until the echo of mankind subsides completely. From the beyond, the director's grandfather tells his grandson about how, in 1939, he forged his documents to leave Chile and enlist in World War II in France. This experience echoes the Chilean "social explosion" of 2019, the scene of unprecedented violence and hundreds of human rights violations by the forces of law and order.

The film takes place on the eighth day of Russia's war campaign in Ukraine. Eight Ukrainians residing in the Czech Republic – a businesswoman, cleaning ladies, construction workers, and bus drivers – make their own diary-like observations of the events in their homeland. In their minds, however, they've transported themselves hundreds of kilometers away, helping their fellow countrymen and women by any means necessary. They provide accommodation for refugees, scout for bulletproof vests, and call their loved ones who’ve taken shelter from falling bombs. They have a hectic and emotionally overwhelming 24 hours ahead of them. But it’s not the first 24 hours and it won’t be the last.

This mysterious adventurer, who was known as Peter the Lett, gets involved in a tragicomic and surreal race from a routine clerk job and a romantic passion in Riga to preparation of the world revolution in Vienna, psychoanalysis at Freud’s salon and seduction of Mata Hari in Paris.

At the age of 28, I was drafted as a soldier in the Second Lebanese War. Instinctively, I grabbed my video camera. The movie recalls the lack of justice in this unnecessary war and the loss of valuable lives. This was my personal earthquake and the nation as a whole. (Yariv mozer)
