Based on the Best Selling Anime Series "SAIKANO" Shy coed Chise (played by Aki Maeda from Battle Royale) is madly in love with high school athlete Shuji. The two share a bond which only intensifies when war breaks out in futuristic Japan. But Chise has a secret that - if revealed - would not only destroy her relationship but would also put her life at risk. Chise is not an ordinary teenage girl, she is actually the ultimate weapon of mass destruction, a genetically engineered cyborg built specifically for extreme military use. When she goes into battle, Chise strikes fear in everyone around her, including her own troops. Her boyfriend must never know.

The work departs from Ernst Toller’s play “Die Maschinenstürmer” (1922), but relocates its themes along the remnants and ruins of the cotton industry, in post-2011 Egypt and post-industrial Poland. Actualizing a criticism of technology, the film re-reads the Luddites movement for a contemporary body of the worker that is always already informed by the histories of technological progress.

Additional testimonies come from acclaimed cinematographer Gerry Fisher, producer Harold Nebenzal, Paul Diamond (son of Wilder’s writing partner I.A.L. Diamond), and German actor Mario Adorf.

“La Zerda and the songs of oblivion” (1982) is one of only two films made by the Algerian novelist Assia Djebar, with “La Nouba des femmes du mont Chenoua” (1977). Powerful poetic essay based on archives, in which Assia Djebar – in collaboration with the poet Malek Alloula and the composer Ahmed Essyad – deconstructs the French colonial propaganda of the Pathé-Gaumont newsreels from 1912 to 1942, to reveal the signs of revolt among the subjugated North African population. Through the reassembly of these propaganda images, Djebar recovers the history of the Zerda ceremonies, suggesting that the power and mysticism of this tradition were obliterated and erased by the predatory voyeurism of the colonial gaze. This very gaze is thus subverted and a hidden tradition of resistance and struggle is revealed, against any exoticizing and orientalist temptation.

Maciste then returns to the underground city to save the other captives. Meanwhile, high priest Kahab informs his son, Katar, that their queen is not one of them but, unbeknownst to her, was kidnapped as a small child from the "world above." If Katar can marry her...

The Art of the Love Song is a lush, romantic album that follows their first Warner Classics release, American Rhapsody. It was recorded live in July 2015 at the legendary Grand Ole Opry House. The Art of the Love Song was conceived as a special braodcast for PBS and it will be one of the featured programs during PBS's March 2016 pledge drive, reaching an audience of several million. Ji-Sook is sent to South Korea to take her husband Tae-Soo back o North korea. Tae-Soo is an agent of the South Korea National Intelligence Service. 15 years ago, Tae-Soo infiltrated North Korea, marred Ji-Sook and had a son. He then returned to South Korea, leaving behind Ji-Sook and their son. Ji-Sook and her son were then sent to a forced labor camp due to her husband's actions. High-ranking North Korean officials trained Ji-Sook and sent her to South Korea to carry out a mission. Her mission is to persuade Tae-Soo to go back to North Korea. Ji-Sook's son is held as a hostage. Meanwhile, Sung-Ho is a detective, who has a son. He lost his wife 10 years ago. One day, Sung-Ho and his son eat at a small neighborhood restaurant they often frequent. Sung-Ho and his son talk about who will do household chores and the restaurant owner suggests someone that can do the chores. At first, Sung-Ho says no, but then he sees Ji-Sook walk into the restaurant. Sung-Ho falls in love with her at first sight. Sung-Ho asks the restaurant owner if Ji-Sook is the woman who can do the household chores. The restaurant owner replies yes. Sung-Ho decides to hire Ji-Sook at that moment. Sung-Ho has no idea that Ji-Sook and the restaurant owner are North Korean spies and they approached him on purpose.
