The Mask Of Doom

Fu Tien-Ming is the subject of an experiment that turns him into the hero known as Shadow Mask. When his arch nemesis, Red Goddess, escapes from prison, she is determined not only to stop Shadow Mask, but to kidnap a scientist who has come across a discovery involving DNA.

Miyu went to Seoul, Korea to study and look for her older sister who went missing two years ago. One day Miyu got to know Hana who was a famous plastic surgeon and she reminded of her missing sister. Hana lives with her lover Hyoshin, but she got attracted by Miyu. And Nyoshin felt jealous of Miyu. Miyu thought that Hana is actually her older sister and asked her to tell the truth. Hyoshin saw two of them talking and killed Hana because of jealous. Hyoshin tried to kill Miyu next and Miyu realized Hyoshin is her sister who had plastic surgery and changed her face. Finally Hana stuck a knife into herself because she knew Miyu always values her sister. Miyu survived, but lost her precious sister.

Hugo has moved to a new town and he misses his old friends. His dreams are characterized by the insecurity of the new place and not least by the tyrant of the new place; Storm. When Hugo gains access to a mysterious dream mask, his life suddenly becomes exciting again.

Mask tells the story of a police inspector who sets out to track down a thief.

The first edition of the Azerbaijani version of the internationally licensed show "Mask", which is broadcast in more than 50 countries, was shown on Public Television. There are 12 masks in the program and behind each of them some Azerbaijani celebrity is hidden: "Participants come together on the principle of confrontation. Voting determines who stays in the show and who unmasks. The masks are so secret that even the family members do not know about their participation in this show."

Praveen Tewari, a Bank watchman, resides in Kolkata with his wife Shikha and daughter Tukai. His salary is usually stalled for months like a number of government employers. When the Corona pandemic emerges, everybody is buying and wearing masks, except Praveen. He simply denies wearing one, and regularly finds various propagandas from a YouTube channel. He has been so extensively tortured by the people nearby that he even dreams of people forcing him to wear a mask. The story takes a twisted turn when he gets into an argument with a customer which ultimately leaves him jobless. Broken and dejected by the family and society, Praveen turns alcoholic along with a bus conductor who eventually denies providing him more alcohol unless he wears a mask. Haunted with the desire to consume more alcohol, he puts on his mask.

The story starts with the birth of a baby, who starts crying as soon as he sees his father "in disguise." The infant is already expressing his desire for authenticity. By the age of three, he instinctively rejects conventions. He is taken to a psychiatrist, who finds him perfectly normal. When he starts school, he is offered another mask. Once again, he rejects it, and once again, he is led off to the psychiatrist. As a teenager he discovers his father's disguises and fills them with helium. As an adult, his creative attitude towards his work arouses the envy of his colleagues. At one of his last visits to the psychiatrist, he sees a young woman who seems to be experiencing the same problems he is. It's love at first sight. From their union is born a child who starts to cry as soon as he sees his father wearing a motorcycle helmet. The father quickly removes his "mask..."

It is difficult to characterize Slobodan Tišma. He is unique and versatile. He wanders with joy throughout the artistic landscape, drawing it with his words since the early sixties. He started as a poet, he was a conceptualist, an "invisible artist" and a rock musician ("Luna"/"La Strada"- former Yugoslav New Wave bands). Currently, he is a prose writer, and sometimes he engages in minimalistic performances. Wearing different masks he moved from one artistic space to another breaking the stereotypes and creating an aesthetic phenomenon out of his own existence. His mainstay is margin. Through trees and ocean he communicates with the universe. He loves the game of seeking, and hiding again. He is a persistent walker. With his silent steps he pops up daily in the corners of Novi Sad, searching for his own pleasure. Similar to his writings, this film has no formal completeness and comprehensiveness. It wonders who Slobodan Tišma is.
