Krupa and the trio band also play "Blanchette", "Stompin' at the Savoy" and end on "Let Us Leap."
When a woman wakes up on a Hamptons beach in fugue state, all assumptions about her identity are thrown into doubt in this psychological thriller starring Alex Auder and Gaby Hoffmann. Is Mary (Auder) a wealthy housewife whose vacuous existence leaves her with nothing of substance to get a hold on her past-life? Or, is she the partner in crime of Sally (Hoffmann), who grifts off of the leftovers and vacant homes of this vacation community? This is the first feature of writer/director Nick Nehez. Auder and Hoffmann, daughters of Warhol Superstar Viva, have worked with directors Wim Wenders and Woody Allen among others. Nehez and Auder studied improvisational acting with Alan Arkin and the late Paul Sills.

The Mirror Mask was created as a commission for the 2005 Contour Biennial of Video Art and was originally exhibited in a multi-channel format with drawings. The feature-length edit was made simultaneously. Working from the Biennial’s theme of feminine power, the video’s exploration uses symbols from both Flemish and Egyptian art reinterpreted through CGI, latex sculptures and low-tech animation programs – the images of the past translated onto a frozen computerized canvas.

This is the story of all the other kids - the ones who never felt "seen" - until Paul Limmer came into their lives.
J.T. Baily will demonstrate how to repair a broken window. Broken windows are never very picturesque, and at this time of the year extra ventilation is not at all welcome. After this demonstration, however, every viewer should be able to look forward to window breakages as a fine opportunity for a show of skill.
Ken Russell's third Monitor documentary from 1962 is both a development from and inversion of the first, Lonely Shore. In that, an alien presence surveys a stretch of coastline strewn with assorted objects from early 1960s British lifestyles and tries (and mostly fails) to divine their meaning or purpose. The Preservation Man is also set in a series of object-strewn settings, but here they're part of the artist Bruce Lacey's collection of random junk, and their original function is irrelevant. Sensibly, Russell and commentator Huw Wheldon keep analysis to a minimum, preferring to use the film as an excuse to spend quarter of an hour in Lacey's amiable company.
