Here, where throughout the 20th century ever enhanced methods of oil recovery, have transformed an amorphous, ambivalent and hardly populated landscape into an uncanny site of man’s supposed mastery of nature, the film traces the ways of a man, who wanders the scenes aimlessly, bound by his own implication in the menacing mechanics of oil production but drawn physically to their coevally proceeding erasure by the rough and untamed nature of this seemingly self-subsisting land.

George is in his 40s, a family man, on the fast track in his job - until one day a stranger claims ownership of 2m² of his house, enters the home, sets up his bed in the living room and stays. Zimka and Nazmija are two sisters from a Roma family growing up in Zagreb. Zimka is 17, which makes her older than Nazmija, but she does not act her age. Their relationship is marked by the clash of their characters, but also the strength of their sisterly bond. Before starting high school, together they spend the summer dancing, singing and wandering around the parks and streets of Zagreb. Zimka’s departure to live in a student residence and her relationship with Tin put a new strain on the sisters relationship. The film follows the two sisters during a turbulent time in their lives, raising the question of whether everyone has the right to a carefree adolescence or is that a special privilege.

Laura and Lucas live temporarily in Berlin and are set to go back to Lisbon together soon. I guess this is how I think about myself too. That I will go back to Lisbon soon. But I often find myself doubting it and becoming a kind of split self. Because now with this crisis and the very controversial austerity IMF program running in Portugal I found most of my friends leaving Lisbon; and family about to mortgage their homes. I wanted to talk about this feeling of separation that I see in my generation, about this state of being in between an apparent solid past and an unknown future, about this identity in transition.

David Lamelas' first film analyses the architectural, social, climatic, or sociological data that make up the exhibition's spatial environment, that of the institution and its geographical location. Beginning with the empty exhibition hall, the description is neutral and analytical. It progresses in ever larger circles, placing emphasis on all the important functional elements, from the electronic devices in the exhibition space, to the city's traffic regulation to the communication and information media and finally, to the climatic conditions of the London environment. The film concludes with six interviews regarding the big news item of the day: the future "landing" of the first men on the moon.
