Thingvellir actually means “Parliament Grounds”. But extensive scientific research has shown that the Thingvellir area is one of the wonders of the world and is indeed unique. The American plate and the European plate separate exactly at Thingvellir so the area and Lake Thingvallavatn are positioned between two continents. This is shown in detailed video graphic as well as in extensive aerial and close-up shots of the area. At Thingvellir we are standing on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge – we can see the ground split, Thingvellir sink and Lake Thingvallavatn grow. In flora and fauna – here is the meeting place of the East and the West. Lake Thingvallavatn is a very young – no more than 10,000 years old. However, four varieties af Arctic Char have evolved in it, and that is a world wonder. The lake is extremely clear which makes the underwater pictures of the Arctic char in their natural habitat very real.

Camilo is the adopted son of an indigenous couple of the Quillasinga tribe. He is the only black man in his community and has always felt different. That is why he embarks on a journey in search of his origins. With the truth revealed, Camilo manages to find his identity.

An uninspired writer is trying to write a poem, but he is stuck between the walls of his home. All the negative energy around him materializes in black crows, which only his young daughter Mille seems to be able to see. Mille is innocent and open-minded and trying to discover her own creativity, and soon creates a little white bird, which fills her with joy. But her father subconsciously pro-jects his frustrations onto her, as he does not know the effect he has on his own surroundings.

A young man hands in his notice at work and breaks up with his girlfriend in order to pursue his true nature and dream of shaping the world according to his own desires. Against all the odds, he manages to push through his business idea – the foundation of an airline. At the same time, his ex-girlfriend refuses to accept their separation and attempts to force her way back into his life by any means possible. He in turn feels attracted to a young woman, who turns out to be the wife of one of his airline investors and who has herself had a secret lover for several years.

There are many in-betweens in my film. The most relevant that are in the source material are essential to the film, they are their own Time and Space generators, they are what exists between each of the imagens.

In the north of Russia, far beyond the Arctic Circle, on the shore of the White Sea, on the Kanin Peninsula, there is an amazing settlement. The houses in it, almost to the roofs, are covered with sand, and the streets are somewhere deep under the sand dunes. From a distance, this village can be mistaken for an abandoned one. But people live there. The film tells the story of the dramatic transformation of Shoina-a thriving fishing village-into a dying village, almost completely buried in the sand.

The taciturn inhabitants remained devoted to their native Land, which is divided and sold behind their backs, evicted from their homes and deprived of fishing. But the sea gives them inner freedom. Without looking back.

Yanti lives in a village with her sibling, Nur, whose psychological development is stunted. Yanti works to earn a living for the both of them. One day, she meets Arman when he accidentally hits Nur. A romance grows, but Yanti holds back when she finds out that Arman comes from a rich family. Arman’s biggest obstacle comes from his parents who disapprove of their relationship. Then Anton has a misunderstanding with Nur and he is tortured by her to the point where he has to be hospitalized. Due to this incident, Yanti moves out of town and becomes a florist. Arman’s father finally gives in and fetches Yanti for Arman’s sake.

Brainstorm is the best-known Latvian band in Europe. They started out 25 years ago, when most of them were in the same class at school. That was the time when people in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia joined hands to create the Baltic Way, and the fall of the Berlin Wall became a symbol of the hunger for freedom. The young men listened to U2, the Scorpions and Roxette and dreamed of becoming famous. Now Brainstorm is famous in Russia as well. The musicians are Latvians who live in Latvia, but they reap profits in Russia. Brainstorm has experienced the most interesting and intense period of modern European history. This period has also been a dramatic time for the band itself.

The film depicts interconnected lives of various characters in South Vietnam in and after the war: a young girl (Mai) who lost her father (Hau)- a Viet Cong cadre; a woman (Nam) whose deceased husband is a South Vietnamese soldier has feelings for Hau and is trying to protect his daughter; a depressive man (Luong) who used to fight with Nam's husband has strong resentment towards his old army.

It’s summer and it feels like everything is melting. The body melts in sweat and the afternoon fades into endless nights. Weird dreams invade Shade’s sleep and unexplainable lights appear in the sky. After a long time, Ema returns to her native town as her father suddenly falls ill. Staying at her parents’ home, she is flooded by childhood memories, which lead us to conclude that there is a problem in the family relationships. The problem also hovers above Ema’s relationship with her sick father, as we see her uneased. However, when Ema stumbles upon a box full of snow globes at her family home, we learn that she was sexually abused by her father when she was little, and he gave her snow globes as a gift.

Gaspésie, early 1990s. Claire’s Parents, Jenny and Walter, are in obvious despair. Months after their breakup, her mom’s trying to pull away from her ex, but he refuses to let go. As Claire is spending the week end with him, Walter goes out to the village’s motel bar. When she sees that it’s getting late and that her father is still not home, Claire then decides to fallow a rabbit trail in search for him.
