Mise-en-scene and sound effects create a terrifying atmosphere, and successfully communicate the ghostliness of a world without ghosts.

Katrine and Thomas proves to be a strong, but mismatched couple whose approach and methods often differ from the conventional police investigation. Their search brings them close to the offender. So close to Katrine with his emotional and vengeful behavior unknowingly expose themselves to the offender and hence qualifies as the perfect next victim. For both Thomas and Katherine challenge will be to see the person behind the monster. For only when they understand the fantasies and traumas that operates the perpetrator, they are able to confront.

He meets an untimely, sugary end. "The Attic" features a little girl's psychedelic decomposition. A pig farmer and his brother perform at a carnival in "Pigman's Bridge," with grave results. A witchy fantasy for "Trick" takes a turn for the demonic. In "Wait for the Day," a lengthy hospital stay gives new meaning to "vegetative state." The hearse tour ends at a ghastly soiree for the video "White Satin Gown," where Paige immediately senses something is amiss.

A somewhat self-aware zombie takes it upon himself to keep the rest of the walking dead at bay.
