The Club

The year is 1968. Five teenage boys dream of running a movie theater in which they will not show pro-war films. One summer afternoon Giò, Delfo, Max, Ricky and Paolo learn to become trusted friends, indispensable to one another.

The young daughter of a US Senator is drawn into a hippie “free love” cult called “The Children of Light” by the blond boyfriend of the cult’s leader, a mysterious and beautiful Asian woman. The cult turns out to be not quite the “free” love community it presents itself to be.

This concert film was recorded live at the Sugar Club, Dublin Ireland, and published on the DVD set of Sinéad O'Connor's album Theology. The set was limited to 2000 copies only.

The 2006/07 season has proved a rollercoaster ride for Chelsea FC and its fans but once again the club emerged triumphant with two more cups to add to the trophy cabinet and many more wonderful memories to savour. “On Tour” is performed before a live audience. The Donut Man, Duncan and the Donut Repair Club present the basic “Good News” that Jesus loves us and takes care of us; with songs and lots of jumping, clapping and playing pretend. Lots of action-songs!

The Donut Repair Club goes to “Camp Harmony” with exciting new adventures and lots of fun. But when Matt doesn’t want to cooperate with the buddy system, little Abbi and Duncan find themselves on a rescue mission! They’ll sing “The Buddy Song”, see first-hand how God is like a potter, and find out about God’s wonderful saving love. At this camp we learn how to find peace with God and with one another.

In the near future, cinema is prohibited and all forms of image circulation must necessarily pass through digital media. Then, a group of young people subvert this system by organizing a film club using old films, but they are soon captured by the police and interrogation begins.

The film recounts the adventures of Julian, Dick, Anne, George and Timmy the dog on their first holiday together at the seaside. In an old smugglers' cave, the children happen to overhear a radio message that refers to the abduction of George’s father Quentin. The professor has set up a laboratory on Kirrin Island where he’s doing research on a new energy generation method. Someone has obviously taken great interest in the valuable research results. But neither the police nor George’s mother Fanny believe the children. They are now on their own and discover a conspiracy that almost takes their breath away.

A police officer is recruited to a special agency and given a license to kill. He is given a dozen or so young policemen and a bar as a front. Meanwhile, girls are disappearing and the friend of one girl is searching for her. It turns out the girls are being kidnapped and sold into bizarre kinky sex games to rich industrialists by a megalomaniacal corporation. One of the young deputies becomes involved and finds a friend of his (the boyfriend of the searching woman) is involved.

Two Danish comedians join the director on a trip to North Korea, where they have been allowed access under the pretext of wanting to perform a vaudeville act.

Four children - Mari, Sadu, Olav and Anton form a secret society to play hide-and seek games invented by Mari's grandfather, a professor at the university. When the city is attacked by a mysterious poison which turns adults into children our gang embarks on a quest for the antidote.

Ernst Cantzler’s documentary about the soccer fan club “Union”, the scenes in the stadium, in their club bar “Green Hell” and in the streets of Berlin was a sensation. The scenes shown by the director and his cameraman had never been seen before: young soccer fans full of violence in the “first German peaceful state”. They are Hooligans who live from one weekend to the other just to get it all out. They want to scream, kick, hit and drink.
