1950s, northern Japan. Amidst the tranquil snowscape unfolds a captivating wedding tradition: A bride is escorted on a horse-drawn sleigh to her destined home. Kazuko defies the arranged marriage, embracing love with Yutaka. Their story reflects the evolving landscape of post-war Japan's traditions, society, and family bonds.

It was originally the happy day of the marriage between the wealthy businessman Shen family and the warlord Nie family, but the eldest miss Shen and the bride, Qing Xia was suddenly killed. Still wanting to proceed with the lucrative marriage, Shen family's maid Hu Die, is forced to pretend to be Qing Xia in order to avenge her and marries Nie Zhen, a young marshal of the Nie family. However, when Hu Die discovers that the suspected perpetrator, of her lady death and all hints, points directly at Nie Zhen, she become more scared and unsure about the proceding with the original plan. Especially, that slowly, she really falls in love with Nie Zhen, and see more and more, his good and honest character. But does she see the real Nie Zhen, or she's slowly falling into his trap?

The highly competent and independent Tang Dou Dou is nearing the end of the proper marriageable age. However, she was not willing to settle for less than the best. When Madame Shen arrives, she proposes that Dou Dou marry her eldest son, who by reputation was smart and rich, she thought her dream husband finally appeared, but her joy turned to horror on their wedding night, when found out that her child prodigy husband had been turned into a jerk in an accident. She immediately asked him for a divorce, but was repeatedly thwarted by her in-laws. In an unexpected twist, her husband's brain injury healed and restored his intelligence, but her genius husband forgot about her. He now had to fight for her love just as he had fought for her.

A wealthy young woman infiltrates the enemy army under false pretenses to avenge her fiancé but is coerced into marriage by a young general. As they navigate their cunning and tumultuous married life, they unexpectedly fall in love. However, their relationship is tested when she discovers his true identity, leading to mutual distrust and conflict amidst the power struggles of warlords. Despite their deepening love, they begin to torment each other.

The drama introduces lives of Eun-wu, a promising young doctor, Seok-wu, a 40-year-old bachelor who is as down to earth as savory soybean paste soup, and Tiv, a 21-year-old girl who comes to Korea in pursuit of Eun-wu’s love as an unintentional Vietnamese bride for Seok-wu, Eun-wu’s brother. At first glance, this drama seems to depict a love triangle between Tiv and the two brothers. However, it actually deals with the young doctor Eun-wu’s personal growth in love and life as he realizes the true meaning of life through Seok-wu and Tiv.

This traditionally ethnographic sequence film focuses on the negotiations betwen representatives of two families during a payment of bridewealth. In the past the husband's group would carry a spear and a sword to hang in the wife's house. Now, a payment is made as a substitute for the spear and sword. The payment of bridewealth is a long and complex ceremony in which representatives from the husband and wife's family engage in a heated negotiation process. The bride and groom are completely excluded from the negotiations and never appear in the film.

Nang’ek is an out of luck, poor, orphan girl raised by her money-hungry foster mom, who has a spoiled brat daughter. Her foster mom also has a no-good boyfriend, who on occasion will try to assault nang’ek Rasa. Nang’ek is the ultimate angel, she is a diligent worker–values education, values hard-work, kind to others, innocent, virginal, not too shabby on the eyes. Though they treat her as an ATM machine, she refuses to abandon her makeshift, foster family because she feels indebted to them. Soon after her mother passed away so did her father, her foster mother took her in when she had no one to turn to. She feels a moral obligation to her evil foster mom who on many occasions will abuse and take advantage of her.

Mary and Jing are childhood best friends. When they were kids, they dreamed about their ideal weddings. Ten years later, on the day of their weddings, however, a mistake by the wedding planner pits them against each other, in a battle of wits.
