After a devastating fire destroyed the pavilion in 2008, owners Kerry and Michelle Michael immediately decided to rebuild and embarked on an amazing journey that took over two years to complete. In 2010, with the new pavilion nearly complete, everyone was working toward the re-opening. The pavilion had to be fitted out and 300 new staff employed. Would it open on time and, more importantly, would it be a success?

A young naval officer becomes a corsair to make enough money to marry a pretty girl, and fights injustice and snobbery to reach home safely.

Baye Laye is the captain of a fishing pirogue. Like many of his Senegalese compatriots, he sometimes dreams of new horizons, where he can earn a better living for his family. When he is offered to lead one of the many pirogues that head towards Europe via the Canary Island, he reluctantly accepts the job, knowing full-well the dangers that lie ahead. Leading a group of 30 men who don't all speak the same language, some of whom have never seen the sea, Baye Laye will confront many perils in order to reach the distant coasts of Europe.

In a time when the main source of energy was still coal, there was a man who saw the future in oil. Young Tetsuzo Kunioka who hails from Moji, Kitakyushu, rides out into the oil business, but is faced with numerous challenges and competitors who stand in his way, including domestic suppliers and major western oil companies, or the "oil majors". But Tetsuzo never gave up, however despairing the situation was. He always found a way and paved a new road with his unconventional ideas, eccentric actions, and most of all, his caring heart toward his own men. That style of Tetsuzo's was not something that would ever change, even when the tides were against him in a war-lost Japan.

Rancher Timothy Wade is ambushed by a masked man riding a pinto horse. His young son, Buzzy Wade and the loyal ranch foreman, Dude Bates, are mystified as to who anyone would kill Wade. But, Jim Dana, a U.S. government undercover agent, has his suspicions that the reason may have been in order to acquire the ranch from Buzzy and his older sister, Ruth. Dana thinks the ranch may have a large deposit of a mineral useful to a foreign country. His suspicions are confirmed when a couple of guys with heavy-accents show up inquiring about the property.
