My Witch Roommate focuses on a young woman and the daily grievances she endures by having a witch and her pet goat as a roommate, until a scenario presents itself and shows her that there might be some benefits to her situation after all.

I wrote and directed this small documentary when my younger sister Michaela returned home from college unwell. She spent a week at home before my small family drove her back to the school she wished to continue to attend. It's vagueness speaks to my family's desire to keep elements of their lives private and the comfort they find within the dynamic. I am an English and Film Studies undergraduate student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and this was my final project of the Spring 2020 semester.

Masato (Kabira Jay), who has a mild learning disability, commits a crime to protect his wife Sakura (Nanami), who also has a learning disability. He's at a loss and heads on a journey to Ise Grand Shrine, where he was supposed to visit with Sakura, but along the way he meets Reiko (Sumire), who reminds him of his wife.

Father is based on a real life incident of an engineer from J&K's PwD Department who fulfils multiple responsibilities in his life. He is a husband, father and above all - a sincere and honest citizen. The film captures the struggle of a father who'd go to any length to achieve the dreams of his child while maintaining his duty towards the country. Father depicts the patriotism of a common man who fights for his country. There are also some light elements in the film portraying a typical middle class husband-wife relationship, their love and their tiffs. A father is not just protective towards his family but also towards the entire society that he lives in. Some terrorists use the Father to create havoc in the atmosphere that the family hails from. Father always sacrifice his dreams and how his honesty is disturbing the corrupt people and how they trapped the father. However, he stands like a protective rock and saves everyone from the evil intentions. The Father in true essence .

However, not long afterwards his wife takes their infant son and leaves him to go to San Francisco. The husband gets word that his son is seriously ill in San Francisco, but he has no way to get there. Just in the nick of time, however, the racer's father-in-law just happens to have developed a new car for a cross-country race--to San Francisco!

Mary Lou is excited because today is her older brother Sonny's birthday.
