If your family photographs could speak, what stories would they share? Interweaving interviews with family artefacts, 'My Lovely Grandma' is an exploration of my maternal family history from the perspective of Molly and the woman she was before she became my lovely grandma.

The film tells the story of a love story between a female killer and a small photographer who happened to meet each other. Xie Miao subverts the image of the former cool and savvy master, and in this drama has become an ordinary small photographer who wants to hold a personal film festival.

Zena is a young woman who faces painful childhood memories after the death of her father. She sets out to find liberation and acceptance from this torturous time in her life.

What began as a grassroots, interpretive film class at a Manhattan senior community center soon blossomed into a shortened spin on New York’s story of love and the passing of time, Annie Hall. Created by artists and filmmakers Ellie Sachs and Matt Starr, the project was a way to engage seniors in a meaningful way while exercising memory skills.

Two brothers witness the murder of their parents and grow up dealing with the tragedy in very different ways. As one brother struggles with mental illness and sleep paralysis, the other finds success in the unique world of found object art.
