A woman landed at the New Delhi Railway station in 1974 and claimed she was the Queen of Awadh. She asked to meet Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. She was the living answer to the question, ‘How do you become a Queen?’ This film is an almost-heist based on believe-it-or-not true events from the 1970s at the New Delhi Railway Station with Nawabs from Awadh, reporters from BBC, the station master, a rickshaw puller, and a queen.

Borinage left Henri Storck profoundly disturbed by injustice and social poverty. When he was offered a chance to make the film he undertook an in-depth survey into the working class and slums and shouldered his camera as a militant filmmaker. In a plot of Walloon slums he staged characters and situations as examples. All shots work on intensity, the filling of the frame, which gives the impression of being unable to breathe, of being trapped, closed in. And in the face of this overflowing misery is the emptiness of the expressions, the absence of emotion. Survival is all. But the message of hope is there, with the destruction of slums (the hovels are demolished as if getting rid of a tyrant) and the construction of garden cities surrounded by trees in bloom and a future of song, leaves one with the impression that man’s dignity has been safeguarded.
The varied concepts of human rights in Latin America are discussed from the point of view of characters who are, in some cases, protagonists of the continent's contemporary history. Musicians, writers, architects, teachers; ordinary people in countries that are in a constant process of transforming their societies. Their testimonies address issues that go beyond what traditionally defines human rights. Presented in internal chapters within the documentary, the film deals with the understanding of individual and collective rights such as issues of gender, sexual orientation, education, communication, environment, indigenous peoples, public security, and military dictatorships. Human rights can be an element of integration in Latin America through a new vision of the concepts that define life as a basic right to be conquered.
