In Chad, palm groves of Borkou are an essential wealth for nomads. In this desert region, a water-table has allowed the development of a palm grove composed of about 1 200 000 date palms, which produce 7 000 tons of dates per year.

The Gorgans are a Roma family who live on the outskirts of Arles, in the South of France. The family has inhabited the region for generations, but their living and work conditions largely remain those of nomadic subalterns. Their encounters with the political institutions of French and European society are primarily with the police and penal system. Without access to the privileges of so-called normal citizenship, their everyday life is necessarily marked by a continuous invention of the forms of communal existence.

A market is held in Bagagi, Niger, once a week. The butchers are the focal point of this event which is essential to the existence of the social group.

As a result of the difficulties the team encounters, disorganization gradually takes over the convoy. Each of the members of the group, little by little, yield to their petty, selfish impulses: violence, power, nostalgia - The breakdown of one of the trucks forces Michele and Nadia to wait at an oasis for the arrival of spare parts. But a starving local tribe settles threateningly near them. The chief of the tribe makes a speech they don't understand, which is followed by a macabre purification ceremony.

This French farce/drama takes place in Ireland in 1916, during one of the peak periods of revolutionary violence. Seven Irish revolutionaries have taken over a post office, totally evacuating the building. Or so they think. They missed Gertie Gertel, who was in the bathroom at the time. By the time she is discovered, they are sufficiently besieged that for her own safety, she must stay with them. Gertie, it turns out, is about as pro-British as it is possible to be, and the seven take it on themselves, in the midst of battles and gunfights, to win her over to their cause.

This documentary chronicles the religious life of an order of Catholic nuns in Canada: Les Petites Soeurs de la Sainte-Famille (The Little Sisters of the Holy Family). Along with interviews with the Sisters and footage showing how they conduct their everyday lives, the movie also features interviews with their priest-supervisors, doctors, other priests, and members of the Church hierarchy.
