Growing up on the tough streets of New York City can be hard on a young teenager. Miguel is on of those kids. Given one last chance at redemption, he tries to rise above his surroundings. When a heat wave hits the city, Coney Island is the only place for Miguel and his friends to cool off, but will a love at first sight send him over the edge and strait to jail?

Cylinder, Sphere and Solid opens with a white screen. A performer enters from the right side and draws a black circle. He continues to draw and finally, after drawing and erasing, the circle becomes a cylinder. While continuing to draw and erase the cylinder becomes two intersecting circles. After drawing some more the drawing becomes two spheres.

Produced for the Marcel Duchamp Prize, the architectural model Cyclocity focuses on the railway site in the city of Nancy, which repeatedly appears in Bertrand Lamarche’s work in its twofold aspect. on the one hand, the model pays attention to urban reality and its surroundings, in both their architectural and cultural dimensions. on the other hand, it breaks up this reality into fictional elements, that the artist then puts together and takes apart, as in a scenario. Seen from the Kennedy viaduct in Nancy (FR), this head-on panoramic view shows a reality that has been partially erased, exposing the urban gap left after the disappearance of the prison and the destruction of a portion of the Centre de tri Postal (the mail sorting center) built by Jean and Claude Prouvé. What thus appears is an emblematic case of the expressive dimension pertaining to a particular conception of architecture around 1968-73, an intrinsically precarious architecture, marked out for dismantling.

With the cycle of the seasons comes the dry months, the water of the marsh receded. Now the residents of the marsh face a time of hardship, food will be scarce, until the next rains fall.

Using the dancing body as a metaphor, The Circadian Cycle examines morphology, biological rhythm and animal behaviour. The film charts a day from sunrise to evening, moving through cycles of nature, from nascence and awakening to predation and death.

Cycling Utrecht is number seven in the «Places and Monuments» series. As with all the other opus of this series, the live action images have been submitted to a process of digital processing in order to give them a greater temporal and spatial density and animation inserts were added to create points of intensity that tell you were to look. In this case, the inseted images of Tour de France are disputing the monumental pole with images of statue that are along the route of the race, and are put in tension with the normal day to day use of the bike that is a very important characteristic of this city.

Inspired by Edmond Rostand's 1897 play, this 1938 BBC Television studio production retells the comic and heroic drama of the 17th-century Gascon swordsman, poet, and philosopher, Cyrano de Bergerac (1990). As a result, convinced that he stands no chance against the handsome but tongue-tied suitor, Cyrano steps aside and becomes Christian's tutor in the delicate matters of love, composing poems and ardent letters to help him woo Roxane.

In a collaboration of a different approach, visvim and creative Young Kim (also known as Suitman) create a film titled “A Cycle of Craftsmanship”. visvim’s penchant for quality and story-telling are no secret as this film focuses on a Kyo-Ningyo (Kyoto Doll) shop and its sixteen generation history. The 400 year-old store owner had begun to face some difficult times. Upholding quality, craftsmanship, a dwindling demand for Kyo-Ningyo had culminated into difficulty running a retail space while maintaining the same level of commitment. Eventually the store owner’s decision to close his store had a profound and introspective effect on visvim founder Hiroki Nakamura which led to the creation of this film. The multi-region DVD is available at F.I.L. stores across Japan and Asia.
