The War that Made America is a PBS miniseries about the French and Indian War, which was first aired in two parts on January 18 & 25, 2006. The series features extensive reenactments of historical events, with on-screen narration provided by Canadian actor Graham Greene. Much of the story focuses on George Washington, connecting his role in the war with the later American Revolution. Pontiac's Rebellion, which followed the French and Indian War, is also covered in the series. The series was filmed in June, July, and August 2004 in and around the Western Pennsylvania region where many events actually took place during the war.

A young Chinese woman studying abroad in the United States gets a phone call from her parents informing of her grandfather’s death. The young woman tries to spend the rest of her day normally. When the cab arrives and she heads to the city with her friends, she decides against it at the last minute. The young woman asks the cab driver to stop as she wants to buy a paper money package. Soon enough, an unlikely friendship arises between the cab driver and the young woman as they reminisce about Beijing, fold, and burn the paper money to commemorate their dead.
An unfinished film by Aleksandr Dovzhenko, the film is a political lampoon based on the book entitled The Truth about US Diplomats, written in 1949 by the American writer Annabel Bukar. It exposes the underhanded actions of US Embassy personnel in Moscow at the onset of the Cold War. Dovzhenko managed to shoot only a half of the film, mainly the scenes that take place in the American Embassy.
