But these two do come together, despite the pain of memories, in Cambodia After Farewell, a well-acclaimed, 100-minute documentary by French Cambodian director Iv Charbonneau-Ching and Jeremy Knittel to mark 4 decades since the Khmer Rouge took control of the Southeast Asian country to put in place the purest form of communism and the ideal agrarian society. The documentary follows the journey back to Cambodia – and into the past – of the family of Iv Charbonneau-Ching, with his mother and aunt, as they reconstruct, piece by piece, what happened to the family members they lost to the Khmer Rouge.

Having served three years for armed robbery, Charles Brown has just been released from Kingston Penitentiary with only a suit of clothes and $25 to his name, but he figures he'll be all right since he learned how to do carpentry in prison which should land him steady work. The prison administration provides him with the name of the John Howard Societies if he does need assistance on the outside. He finds that once people know of his record, they won't give him a chance. And even if he doesn't mention his prison sentence, his criminal record eventually catches up with him. Even with the Societies taking on the task, getting a job for Brown is not easy and which will take great powers of persuasion. If no one is willing to give him a break, Brown may need to resort to his old ways and end up just another statistic sent back to prison.

Two inept murders can’t seem to get it right.

A young, straight laced police detective, Jack Carrouseau, inadvertently crosses paths with a mysterious assassin named Miko. Despite requests from federal agents and his peers to end the pursuit, he continues to investigate the hit man, and uncovers a trail of blood and death stretching from the beaches of Southern California to the inner boroughs of Washington DC. Including a brief encounter with a prostitute, the events that follow forever change him and everyone involved.
