Seven-year-old Travis has AIDS. Filmmaker Richard Kotuk invites us to witness Travis’s struggle. With his intense yearning for life and understanding of death, Travis describes the disease as a “monster inside of me: I’m gonna fight it. I will fight.” Supported by his grandmother and his community of cousins, Travis fights AIDS for an opportunity to be a boy with normal childhood dreams. An unsentimental portrait, Travis questions our own understanding of death and passion for life.

Family - Surgeon, Lemuel Gulliver, a softhearted colonial, is washed ashore an island called Sumatra (The Land of Lilliput), after a shipwreck. A lunatic magician and a slimy minister influenced the Emperor of Lilliput to go to war with the neighboring kingdom of Blefscu.

Mahmud Ginting tells the story of reshaping the surreal memory of a grandfather whom I myself have never met. I tried to give a form of memory when my grandfather was at the last second of death. Through what I heard from people around me, photos during my life and my dream of meeting him, that's why I made the Experimental Film for My Grandfather as He travels away.

In this soap-powder animation, ten-year-old John theorises on the miracle of space travel and speculates as to what the future might have in store.

A group of women is pounding millet to the rhythm of a song, a farmer is hoeing his field in tempo, and a man is dancing to the sound of drums during a ritual of possession. Those are scenes taken from previous films by Jean Rouch. The three sequences illustrates in their own way the importance of song and music in everyday life in Niger, whether in everyday chores, in working the land or during rituals.

While separating peanuts from their shells, the women in a collective in Agadez, Niger, talk to each other about the men passing by and the filmmaker being present. Focusing on their working hands, the camera reveals the harsh conditions of these women’s daily lives.
