Strangers

In managing the shipyard inherited from her father, Derith Keogh has considerable labor problems and accedes to the unreasonable demands of John Trevelyan, an anarchist labor agitator. Derith's brother John is off in pursuit of an adventuress, and Angus Campbell, her superintendent, resigns in exasperation. Angus returns, however, to help Derith persuade Trevelyan to settle a strike, which Trevelyan accomplishes in spite of being shot by one of his own men.

Spencer Maxson is a hard-headed agent who never sleeps. His wife, Jade, is a struggling actress that is trying to be a good spouse and raise their child. Beau Maxson is Spencer's younger, estranged brother who deals with his problems through incessant drug use. Charlotte is a green eyed stripper with her head in the clouds. Strangers tells the story of Tom Chaplin, Tim Rice-Oxley and Richard Hughes, who formed Keane in '97 at school in Sussex, did their first gig in '98, signed a record deal in 2003, released their debut album Hopes & Fears in 2004 and went on to conquer the world with a voice, a piano and a set of drums. The film charts Keane's musical progression from a four-piece guitar band to the three-piece piano-based group that they've become today, and shows how they went on from playing tiny gigs on the UK pub circuit, to winning 2 Brits awards and selling nearly 5 million albums around the world.
