After A-luen watches a TV show with the footage of a real-life murder late one night, the dead woman's corpse seen in the footage begins to follow him everywhere. At first she appears in a distance; slowly, she gets close - on his street, in his room, sitting next to him...how close could she ultimately get?

For a quarter of a century, Frank Castorf has created a microcosm in the Volksbühne that many considered to be an identity-forming fortress and a renegade island in the increasingly chic and monotonous centre of the capital. Marija and Štefan are pensioners who often almost kill each other out of boredom. Darja and Tomaž are a middle-aged couple whose only son went to study abroad. Nika and Matic are a young couple who have just started their journey together. Nika is dominant and very disciplined, while Matic is a dreamer and an artistic soul. Which, of course, is the reason for many arguments.

Set at the intersection of an observational documentary and a unique sensory experience, the film conjures everyday scenes at the station and immersing interludes exploring the relationship between sound and the space it inhabits. Through a synesthetic blend of sounds, words, notes, echoes and light, we are taken into a unique cinematic soundscape that doubles as a love letter to radiophonic art and its disarming insight into what makes us remember, understand, think, discover, and feel.
