When an unexpected snowstorm strikes Seattle, the dead rise from their graves to prey on the city's helpless citizens. From the confines of their living room, a group of unlikely heroes emerge to stop the flesh hungry hordes, only to discover that zombies aren't the only evil they are up against.
Every performance tells a story. The characters belonging to the world of fiction become credible reality for the spectator thanks to the actor's technique. In Traces in the Snow the technique itself becomes the protagonist. The actor carries on a dialogue with the secrets, which precede and follow the building of a character and the creation of a performance – and its process, she exposes these secrets. The tension, which characterises every drama, is also present in this performance/work demonstration, due to the confrontation between the actor’s two forms of behaviour: daily and scenic.

Deep in the night, eight machines draw shapes into the soft ground, patterns and designs. Illuminated only by their own lights, they move in conjunction, at times as pairs, then in long lines, forming circles, figures of eight, loops. Based on traditional, regional alpine folkdances, the choreography presents the machines as both cumbersome and agile, creating a luminous dance inscribed in the snow.
In the aftermath, when the world is isolated and cold, a painter becomes obsessed with his work.
Inspired by a classroom screening of Michael Snow's Back and Forth, the filmmaker shot his own version and sent it to be developed. Disappointed with the shoot, he abandoned the film and forgot about it. Years later, he gave Azucena Losana the same Super 8 roll, not realizing it was his Snow experiment. This is the result, with both shots superimposed.
Set in an ice castle amid a sweeping frozen landscape, “Windersweet on the Snow” expresses spiritual longing and connection as two dancers embody the flowering of a new dawn. Through the oblivion and desolation of the snow field, their flowing flame lights the journey through seasonal change and mystical evolution.
