A combination of a satire on war and a comedy with war as the background. A Cinematophone singing film which was originally intended to play with a sound on a disc. A simple mechanism would approximately synchronise the sound and picture. The disc for this film does not survive, but this popular song of 1906 by A.J. Mills (lyrics) and Bennett Scott (music) does survive in printed form. The scene is a beach representing the Zuyder Zee (the inlet on Holland's North Sea coast that was dammed some 20 years after this film was made), and the singer appears in Dutch costume, singing to camera. In the backgorund there are some children playing giving an impression of depth and the picturesque to the scene.

The kids and Uncle Anders want to participate in the hotels competition to become “The Sunny Family of The Year” but father says no, underlining that “We’re good enough as we are!” He changes his mind, though, when he meets the competing family, and recognize the father as his old school mate, who’s been bullying him for all of their school years, for being physically inadequate. Consequently father enters the competition with all his might and heart, and what should have been a friendly contest, ends up being a fight for honor and redemption, and it’s only by the loving and innovative intervention from the kids, that father in the ends realizes that the family really doesn’t need to go to any of such extremes. They are actually good enough as they are!

A journalist is preparing to take a train trip, when he is confronted by the spirit of professor Ryszpans who tells what happened to him. When he boarded a train standing on a siding, he encountered trackman Wiór with a newspaper informing about the crash of the train and the death of several passengers, including professor Ryszpans. The professor is joined by engineer Zniesławski, who has also heard of the impending disaster and is interested in it from the technical side. On hearing the news of an approaching catastrophe, other passengers leave the train in panic at the next station. However, trackman Wiór manages to hypnotize several travelers who continue with the journey. Ryszpans hears a roar and sees objects crumbling around him, and then turns into a shadow. After hearing the story, the journalist resigns from his train trip.

Manu is released from prison and strives to rekindle his love with Priya.
