Sick uses stop motion to bring to life a knitted body in a fanciful journey through the pulsating organs and dark recesses of the human body. This film was made as part of the 7th edition of the NFB's Hothouse apprenticeship.

For Romans, Finisterrae was the end of the world. Sicixia wants it to start from here. Die Ton Steine Scherben gibt's seit 1985 nicht mehr, aber ihre Bedeutung für die deutsche Musikgeschichte ist bis heute ungebrochen. Land in Sicht präsentiert neben einem Konzert ein längeres Interview mit dem verstorbenen Scherben-Sänger Rio Reiser und diverse Extras, die den einzigartigen Stellenwert der Band untermauern. Die Live-Aufnahmen vom 30. Mai 1983 aus der Offenbacher Stadthalle sind nicht immer perfekt -- die Bühne ist größtenteils ziemlich dunkel ausgeleuchtet, und der Ton weist einige kleinere Schwankungen auf --, aber diese leichten Unsauberkeiten machen Land in Sicht nur noch authentischer und sympathischer. Rio Reiser besticht mit hundertprozentigem emotionalem Einsatz, und seine Hinterleute beweisen, dass die Scherben immer deutlich mehr waren, als eine Band mit Lagerfeuer-Protestsong-Flair. Da wird hart gerockt, satt gegroovt, und die originellen, komplexen Arrangements heben sich meilenweit von Politpunk-, Deutschrock- und NDW-Klischees ab.

A man goes on a killing rampage through the woods

I found this item after searching for anything to follow up the fantastic MOL DVD... This is "No frills" by which I mean it has no special features, interviews, backstage footage etc. in fact the sound & picture quality captured could have been better, it's obviously a low budget release by 'TVROCK'

The story, which takes place in a hot summer, shows three teenage sisters left alone in the family home after the death of their grandmother, who had raised them. Each one expresses its mourning in a different way in a climate of indolence and apathy and the director shows us, as if they were larvae that finally break their cocoon to fly like adult butterflies, the passage of the protagonists to adulthood.
