An anime about Operation Castle and the demise of the crew on the Daigo Fukuryuu Maru (S.S. Lucky Dragon 5). On March 1st 1954, a hydrogen bomb went off (that ended up being similar sized to the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima). The radioactive ash fell on the crew, poisoning them, as well as local marine life--that talk and wear human clothing.

This documentary portraits Dennis, one of the few open activists in Kazakhstan, his brave fight for real equality and his attempts to organize a public Pride event in his home town.

In a society where homosexuality is prohibited, Lucas and Maxi are arrested and taken to a Detention Center for Young People with Sexual Deviations. After being subjected to different treatments to "cure" their homosexuality, they will find themselves under the dilemma of undergoing the system to preserve their life or be themselves, regardless of the consequences.

This film's three parts focus on three major events of 2008 in China: the March uprisings, the May earthquake, and the August Olympics. In Tagong, two young Tibetan girls play in the grasslands as the shouts of military drills reverberate through the town. In Qingchuan, three women burn paper money and light fireworks to mourn their lost loved ones on the 49th day after the earthquake. In Renshou, a migrant worker working on the demolition of a disaster area returns home during the Olympics to spray his rice fields.

Pico discovers black spots on his neck. He goes to the doctor. A trip to hell begins. His counterpart is a young and arrogant doctor, eager to make money. Pico starts to doubt in the decisions of the god in white.

The alpha male and the conscious female both seeking to destroy each other by pushing dormant buttons and grasping pleasure in serving and devouring. It's a circle that liberates before it starts to suffocate.

The title, quoting Nietzsche describing Man as a sick animal, seems to fit Jean-Luc Nancy, famous for his thinking and especially his striking account of his experience of a heart transplant. But there is no miserabilism here, no sickness or age – instead we have a portrait of the philosopher in action in various different aspects. The first course is biographical, with family archives that take us back to the philosopher’s early years, setting the stage for childhood memories as he secretly breaks his first taboos.

Rohollah Hoseini directs this tale of two lowborn men who seize the opportunity to better themselves, and a strong central relationship helps elevate this crime drama above other such genre mainstays.
