Night After Night with Allan Havey was an unorthodox late night talk show which aired on The Comedy Channel from 1989 to 1992. The show featured the stream of consciousness of host Allan Havey, and other departures from the standard late-night talk show format. Havey's sidekick was Nick Bakay, who moved on to play the sidekick on Dennis Miller's late night talk show.
Another curious feature was the "Audience of One," which was literally a single person sitting off-camera, ostensibly serving the same kind of feedback purposes as a normal talk show's studio audience. However, in one episode, "Audience of One" members were brought back for one episode that featured a full studio audience.
The show did feature the usual interviews with celebrities who were doing the talk show circuit, but they were done in a more low-key, one-on-one manner, which was uncommon at that time.

The American Broadcasting Company coined the term after school special in 1972 with a series of made-for-television movies, usually dealing with controversial or socially relevant issues, that were generally broadcast in the late afternoon and meant to be viewed by school age children, particularly teenagers. The specials were generally broadcast four to six times a year during the school year, pre-empting local programming that would usually follow the network schedule in the late afternoon hours.
CBS distributed its own productions as the CBS Afternoon Playhouse. CBS also had a program called Famous Classic Tales, which aired Australian cartoons that were adapted from literature books. NBC had afterschool programs under the umbrella title Special Treat, while ABC had the ABC Afterschool Special. Other similar programs included The ABC Saturday Superstar Movie and the ABC Weekend Special

Happily Ever After is a 20-episode Singaporean Chinese drama which is telecast on Singapore's free-to-air channel, MediaCorp TV Channel 8. It made its debut on 6 February 2007 and ended on 5 March 2007.
This show is unique as it starts off seeming like a period drama but later evolves into a modern setting. There are many references to figures and stories from Chinese mythology and folk tales such as Cowherd and Weaver Girl, Journey to the West and the Eight Immortals. The first episode drew some controversy as it had a scene in which Wu Gang and Erlang faced off in the nude with their private parts blurred on screen.

The Disney Afternoon was a created-for-syndication two-hour television programming block which aired from September 10, 1990, until August 29, 1997. At that time, Disney decided to retire the name and continued to run a 90-minute syndicated block until 1999. The Disney Afternoon was produced by The Walt Disney Company, with distribution through their syndication subsidiary, Buena Vista Television. Before and after its cancellation, the shows in the block were rerun both on Disney Channel and on Toon Disney. Starting on October 2, 1995, four of the shows were rerun on the Disney Channel as a two-hour programming block called "Block Party" which aired on weekdays in the late-afternoon/early-evening. Currently, the only Disney Afternoon shows that still air in the United States are The Lion King's Timon and Pumbaa which airs on Disney Junior and Gargoyles which airs on Disney XD; however, several of the block's shows are available on DVD in the United States.
The Disney Afternoon's two-hour block was broken up into four half-hour segments, each of which contained a cartoon series. As each season ended, the first cartoon shown in the lineup would typically be dropped, and a new one added to the end. The Disney Afternoon itself featured unique animated segments consisting of its own opening and "wrappers" around the cartoon shows shown.
Afterdrive is a comedy talk show hosted by Denis Leary and Billy Kimball. It was originally broadcast on Ha! and later, after the merger with The Comedy Channel, continued on Comedy Central.
The show was Leary's first full-time television role, coming on the heels of his work on Remote Control. The show was taped before a live studio audience at the MTI studios in upper Manhattan. The program was in some respects similar in style to the early David Letterman Show. Produced by Jeff Folmsbee.
