Stand up comedy monologue

After_Life is a science fiction drama about Kurt, a young man who is trying to relive a failed relationship. After an accident, he will soon have to face the consequences of his failures and regrets, before it is too late.

This is Right: Zak, Life and After is a portrait of Zak Kostopoulos, a well-known queer AIDS activist who was publicly lynched to death in Athens in 2018. Zak's chosen family and community highlight Zak's activist life and the response that his murder has galvanized. Commissioned by Visual AIDS in 2020 as part of TRANSMISSIONS, a program of six new videos considering the impact of HIV and AIDS beyond the United States.

Avram Finkelstein was part of the activist collective that created the iconic SILENCE = DEATH poster. Today, he leads activist groups in creating a public messaging campaign in what he calls flash collectives.

The dispersal of the Companies following the review of the 1st and 2nd Life Guards by Queen Victoria at Spital Barracks. The Companies, drawn up in single file, march towards the rear of the barracks before dispersal.

At the opening of this picture, a couple are seen in dim outlines, spooning on a park bench. In comes a policeman, armed with a dark-lantern, which he suddenly flashes on the couple. They cease their love-making, in great confusion, and the policeman walks on, but as soon as he is out of sight, the couple commence billing and cooing again. This picture is particularly interesting because of the photographic effect of the sudden flashing of a dark lantern on the couple. It is very cleverly worked out, and the picture has made a big hit wherever it has been shown.

Any love triangle is tricky, but a love triangle involving best friends can be downright explosive. Derrick Parks (Lil' Zane) falls for Autumn Summers (Sundy Carter) the moment he sees her, only to watch his buddy, Kevin (Melvin Jackson Jr.), make the first move. But while Kevin's interest is mostly physical, Derrick is certain Autumn is his true soul mate. For the moment, though, all he can do is hope she figures it out as well.

Birds fly back and forth between their caged lives and a different, perhaps imagined world. "On Saturday he took me to the bird shop. I remember the walls, lined with cages, all packed with bright, colored birds. They captivated me.” A song for a caged bird, revisiting childhood fascinations.

An attempt to reconcile friendship.

In 2009, veteran documentarian and filmmaker Brigitte Berman released Hugh Hefner: Playboy, Activist and Rebel, a film about the life and legacy of Hugh Hefner. Expanding on Hefner's influence not only as a celebrity figure but as a catalyst for social awareness, discussion and change, Berman continues to break new ground in Playboy: After Dark, Speaking Out in America. In this doc, Berman details the run and lasting influence of Hefner's two short-lived television shows Playboy: After Dark (1969-1970) and Playboy's Penthouse (1959-1960). Part entertainment segments, part talkshows, the programs featured numerous celebrity guests and covered a diverse range of subjects during their respective runs, including race, integration, environmental changes and free speech. With the story told through interviews and a collection of archived footage, this documentary makes it clear how and why both programs deserve their spots in television history.

Fragments of hundreds of films from around the world bring together an ensemble cast of actors with one thing in common: each is no longer alive. Together, they contend with a fragile existence lived solely through these traces of their work.

After the Show was adapted from Rita Weiman's story "The Stage Door." Lila Lee plays Eileen, a starry-eyed young girl employed as a chorus dancer in New York. Eileen can never be certain if the men in her life are sincere, or if they perceive her as mere temporary plaything. Among the "stage door johnnies," "tired businessmen" and "sugar daddies" surrounding Eileen are Jack Holt and Carlton S. King.

Short parody of black film whose male hero meets a mysterious lady who turns out to be his destiny, of course. Unlike black film, where action defines structure, here the actions of the characters are more enigmatic because they are subject to the filmic structure. Décor: the "Trou" des Halles, the passage Molière, the rue aux Ours, the square des Blancs-Manteaux.
