A young mother wakes up on Halloween Night to discover that she and her son are not alone.

In recent years, traditional pigeon racing has been in decline. The combination of an ageing population of fanciers and a lack of young blood coming into the sport left the future of pigeon racing looking bleak. The image of flat-capped men in sheds covered in pigeon poo needed a make-over. In an effort to sex-up a dying pursuit, a new style of race known as "one loft" racing has emerged. These races allow top pigeon fanciers from around the world to compete in the same event for big cash prizes - and the biggest contest of them all is the Million Dollar Pigeon Race in South Africa.

The American biotechnology firm, Monsanto, has applied for a patent for pig breeding in 160 countries. The patent is for specific parts of the genetic material of pigs which Monsanto's genetic researchers have decoded. If this patent is granted, pig breeding would be possible with the approval of the company. Farmers and breeders are naturally alarmed because these genes have long existed in the great majority of their pigs. Using DNA tests they can prove that there is no new invention in the patent applications but that, instead, granting this patent would be to allow a part of nature to fall into the hands of a single company.

On 17th April 1961, an invasion force of over 1,200 Cuban exiles - trained, financed, equipped and directed by the US CIA - launched an amphibious invasion of the Cuban mainland. John Waiko is the first Papua New Guinea man to graduate with a PhD and be appointed a professor. He returns to the Binandere clan and his small village of Tabara in the Northern Province of PNG. Once there, he has to organise a celebration for his achievements with his family’s help. Since he has been away for most of his life, he has no recognised wealth in the village (the pigs used for gift giving), nor a network of supporters or knowledge of the preparation and rituals for having such a celebration. He wants the event to happen quickly but that’s not the way it works in Tabara. Man without pigs focuses on the antagonism aroused by the clash between traditional customs and Western values in this remote PNG community.

One night, a teenager runs away from home. After his skateboard is run over by a car, he decides to rely on the kindness of a wealthy driver. But can this man's friendship be trusted?

A run-of-the-mill theater actor gets involved in a thought-out audition for government propaganda. A director and his crew lead the audition in a conventional manner. Meanwhile, a famous figure seems to be watching the filmed audition. After being satisfied with the inhumanity that was filmed, deceit and manipulation take place in a room filled with cigarette smoke, heavy liquor, and hard cash joyfully being consumed by the pigs in the pen.
