Live in Brooklyn is the second DVD release by the rock band Phish. Performed on June 16, 2004, at the minor league baseball field KeySpan Park in Brooklyn, New York, it was the opening night of what was the band's final tour. The concert was originally recorded for a simulcast in movie theatres. The concert features the debuts of "A Song I Heard the Ocean Sing" and "Nothing", both of which recorded on their final album, "Undermind". Also, "Dinner and a Movie" and "The Curtain With" had not been played since their Las Vegas 2000 run shortly before their hiatus.
Phish plays 4 nights at MSG building up to a New Years blow out.
Recorded live on August 11, 1998 at Star Lake Amphitheatre in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania. The Star Lake 98 show was the 20th of summer to display the loose, experimental vibe of a tour that began in Europe and jumped to the United States enroute to the summer’s ending Lemonwheel festival.
Though Phish has anything but a mainstream audience, the jam band continues to be one of the most successful touring acts in all of the music business today. With that success comes unique and exciting opportunities, like the chance to perform at the famed Farm Aid benefit… with its founders. That’s what happened on this day in 1998, when Phish joined forces with Neil Young for an extended sit-in at Farm Aid that also featured a sit-in on “Moonlight in Vermont” from Willie Nelson and Paul Schaffer. After a few original songs, Young made his first appearance with the band after a “Runaway Jim” segued into “Arc.” Phish and Neil Young then played “Down By The River,” before the guest-filled “Moonlight in Vermont” came next in the set.
On Halloween 1994, Phish performed The Beatles' White Album. The band played every song on the double album except "Good Night", which was played over the P.A. at the end of the set ("Birthday" was covered as an instrumental, during which Fishman presented a birthday cake to Brad Sands, the band's road manager). Before the band took the stage for their second set, the sound technician began playing "Speak to Me" over the PA, leading the audience to believe the band was about to play Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon. However, just at the moment "Breathe" would have begun, the recording immediately cut to a sample of Ed Sullivan introducing The Beatles from their famous February 9, 1964 appearance on his show. The band promptly leapt into "Back in the U.S.S.R."
