In the middle of the winter night, the taxi driver sees a clip from his phone; Which affects his destiny.

In 1867, the writer, mathematician and theologian Lewis Carroll visited Russia. He visited St. Petersburg and Moscow, and from Moscow went to Nizhny Novgorod on the newly laid railway. In Nizhny Novgorod, the English guest visited a fair and a theater, a church and a mosque, admired the river panorama from the Kremlin towers. Carroll described his two-day stay in the Volga capital on August 6 and 7, 1867 in his diary, which became the basis for the script of the film.

One train journey between two stations: the first one and the last one. In a second class compartment, a traveler meets all kinds of people with all kinds of fates but fails to find a friend. As alone as at the beginning of the journey, he takes his suitcase, gets off the train, and disappears in the night.

The women in this documentary have a lot of cleaning to do. They work in motel El Pasajero, where the guests generally don't stay longer than a few hours. The rooms don't have to be particularly beautiful, either; as long as there's a bed on which the couples can indulge their carnal passions, sometimes under the influence of alcohol and drugs. We don't see or hear much of these visitors, other than the odd leg, disembodied voices and - increasingly as the film progresses - moaning. They are filmed nonchalantly, from a strange, accidental-looking angle, as if they are not important. The visitors are in fact just extras in this love story. How else could you get a positive view of love in a place like this? We follow four female cleaners during their daily rounds. They change the beds, polish the mirrors and energetically wipe down a clinical-looking sex chair.

Old gentleman stretches himself on the long seat of a French railway car, after placing numerous bundles in the rack above him, and also in the rack over the seat in the opposite side of the compartment. Train stops at next station and lady enters with her pet dog. Having bundles of her own which she wishes to place in the rack over her seat, she takes down the old man's bundles and places them on him and his seat. She then begins to fondle the dog. Old man gets angry, takes his large pipe and begins to smoke. Lady objects and after an argument snatches the pipe from the man and throws it out the window. The man reciprocates by throwing the dog out. Lady enraged, tugs vigorously at the bell rope. Train stops and scene changes to outside. Behold the dog sitting on his haunches with the pipe in his mouth, much to the surprise of the old gentleman and lady, and also the audience.
