What can we do when art fails? Or when film fails art? Time Passes is Ane Hjort Guttu’s response to such questions. Inspired by Peter Watkins’ Edward Munch, the result is a brilliantly incisive film about not only the artistic process but also time, power and the possibility of living a life of dignity.

The film describes the spiritual quest of a young hero whose prototype is georgian writer Guram Rcheulishvili.

He finds out though, that they think this is useless or are not capable of doing so anymore. Only the former communist Gerben has not forgotten his pledge and is talked into joining the execution.

A being from the beyond returns to Chile in 2019, embodied in a worker who dreams of social upheaval. Viral videos intertwine with fiction to narrate the experiences of a polarized country that wanders between drama and absurdity, illusion and failure.

How to talk about History, the big one and the small one, ours and that of each of us? Watching television, browsing the Internet, rummaging through the stock of world archives? Or more simply, going back to our own images that built us?

The concept of the film "People (Passing) II" can best be described as an ultimate dynamic of visual and acoustic rhythm with a texture which consists of people passing, standing, sitting, laying, swinging, fukmed by static, mobile, at times intrusive, but always with a highly suggestive camera.
