After working as a clear cut logger in what is now known as the Clayoquot Sound, master carver Joe Martin reconciles his past by revitalizing the ancestral knowledge and artistic practice of the traditional Tla-o-qui-aht dugout canoe. At the end of the road at a carving shed at Nachaks (which means "look out over the ocean") master carver Joe Martin carves through the layers of a 500 year old red cedar tree.

Tlaloc (Lines Drawn in Water) is a handmade cameraless 16mm film of materiality and transformation; an enigmatic otherworld where hues of water evolve into prismatic blooms. Tlaloc is the deity of waters, rain, lightning, and growth in the Aztec pantheon. This film explores the membrane of film itself - a moving skin marked by fluid, punctured by light. The protean soundtrack was entirely composed with contact microphones to capture handmade surface markings and gestures. The motion picture was made with direct animation, scratching, hand-painting, and contact-printing techniques.

The primary motif of the documentary is the journey. A metaphorical journey, a spiritual journey, a tangible journey, a forest path, a road, a sidewalk, a drug trip, or a journey abroad. The director pastes together a collage of micro-stories of people and places that comment on the journey. Her documentary oscillates between playful absurdism, existentialism and existential questions, environmentalism, and social commentary. The dynamism and rhythm of the narrative are then determined by the jumps between different forms of video, such as analogue film, digital film, and mobile phone filming.

Rather than focusing on the monuments and representational architecture of the Plaza, Tlatelolco concentrates on the neighboring residential high-rises. Built in the 1960s under the supervision of modernist Mario Pani, Unidad Habitacional Nonoalco-Tlatelolco is the largest apartment complex in Mexico City. Realized at the zenith of Mexico’s economic boom, Pani’s vision of a “vertical city” beyond class distinctions has itself been shaken up on multiple occasions. Schreiber and cameraman Johannes Hammel capture the fading of an urban architectural utopia.

An adolescent just finishing *Junior High School abandons her studies to work in Guadalajara; an experienced immigrant who has attained a fortune and now decides to migrate in to USA; a young woman who leaves her children with her mother in order to work in the city.

We learn of the great uncontested influence that CIA's #1 Man in Mexico, Winston Scott had, and how he backed the PRI Monopoly over Mexico's politics,misleading Mexico's President (Gustavo Diaz Ordaz) About the NEVER proven Communist involvement with the Student Movement in 1968, and such uncertainty leading to the massacre of Hundreds of students on October 2nd, 1968, a week prior to the inauguration of the Mexico 1968. Olympics.

Swailem has three daughters, and his brother Swaileh has three sons. The two work in trade and live next door to each other. As Swailem faces bankruptcy, Swaileh's projects prosper, and Swailem is forced to sell his possessions to him. Some attribute Swailem's misfortune to his daughters, but time will prove otherwise.

A meditative film explores the effects that examining consciousness and a microscopic view of one’s inner self have on the rationalism that scientists are expected to have. Even though each has a different approach, a physicist and an economist have similar, indescribable experiences, which they can only show through ‘reflections’. Efforts to change a flat map into an actual landscape lead to an unaffected re-examination of the foundations of our society, in which the myth of objectivity often covers up the manipulation of the powers-that-be, and the desire for deeper knowledge may be the driving force for the military industrial complex just as much as for getting a degree.

The screen broken in three echoes a colonial Tlaxcaltec codex. A montage over the political family militancy; the constant apparition of Tlaxcala as a welcoming territory to invasions. Images that move against the grain of the Indiginous prophecies that predicted the arrival of Spain; but also with the promises that preceded the signature of the TLC and the UFO historiography, so profoundly ingrained in Mexican idiosyncrasy.
