For 200 years, coal mining had been a way of life in Cape Breton. By 1920 things were looking up: miners were unionized and paid decent wages. Then the British Empire Steel Corporation arrived and bought every single steel and coal company in Nova Scotia. BESCO cut wages by a third, setting off a bitter labour dispute. The miners settled in for a long strike. Finally, in 1925, the military ended the unrest with brute force. But the miners, in one sense, had won. They broke up the monopoly and provided an example to workers across the country.

The film, collected from various views and shrunken feelings, is our common space for collectivity and queer kinship. We are all there, scrambling out of the cinema form and once again slipping away to there. The collage method of gluing us together: a mutating, holding, non-solidifying form of people. We refuse to panic. It is difficult for us to maintain a critical distance from the intimate, extracted, and repackaged in relation to other material. Film as a message, film as a community, film as a form of interaction at a distance. We are led by Zhuzha, devices, and touch, which we were so lacking in quarantine.

Darkstalkers is an American children's animated TV series produced by Graz Entertainment in the fall of 1995. The cartoon is loosely based on Capcom's fighting game Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors. One of the cartoon's leads is a young boy named Harry Grimoire, an original character who is a descendant of Merlin. Various changes were made to the game characters, most notably Morrigan Aensland became a villain and a descendant of Morgan le Fay.

After two failed suicide attempts, Jiyoon finds herself in a locked hospital ward. During her stay, a video she had previously uploaded to YouTube documenting her first attempt resurfaces due to the platform's algorithm. Titled "Video of Me Smoking a Cigarette Two Hours Before Suicide Attempt," the video has amassed 2 million views and 6,000 comments. Disturbingly, nearly half of the comments on this brief video are harassing and abusive. Upon her discharge from the hospital, Jiyoon embarks on a mission to track down those responsible for the hurtful comments. This personal journey unfolds against the backdrop of 2023 Korea, where news of suicides seems to surface with alarming frequency, painting a stark picture of a society grappling with a pervasive crisis.
