As Brazil prepares to host the next World Cup, its people are confronted with the growing problem of child prostitution. The country's relaxed attitude to buying sex has long attracted millions of tourists, particularly men. But now the world's oldest industry is recruiting the world's youngest workers. UNICEF estimates there are 250,000 children forced into prostitution across Brazil. In this shocking episode of Our World, Chris Rogers goes undercover, posing as one of the millions of so-called sex tourists who visit the South American country in search of cheap sex, often with children as young as seven years old.

The hidden soundscapes of Toshiko Takaezu’s closed ceramic forms have long captivated Leilehua Lanzilotti. Over the course of several years, Lanzilotti collected recordings of Takaezu’s closed forms, gently tapping their surfaces and revolving them so the small ceramic rattles within them resound. Like Takaezu, Lanzilotti finds echoes of the brilliant landscapes of Hawai’i in the combination of vibrant glazes and quiet interior aural environments. Lanzilotti has combined the recorded sounds of Takaezu’s closed forms with footage shot on the island of Hawai’i—at the base of Kilauea, the slopes of Mauna Loa, and the top of Mauna Kea. In the overlay of sound, texture, color, and light, we get the feeling of being inside Takaezu’s multisensory landscapes. [Overview courtesy of Leilehua Lanzilotti]

Every June, Warsaw is taken over by thousands, if not tens of thousands of people. The magical crowd takes the streets, sidewalks, squares and parks. In the capital of the most homophobic country of the European Union, the Equality Parade has been held for over 20 years – an event from the community, for the community, giving visibility and "breath" for the next year to the entire community of excluded and discriminated people. What motivates activists to act? What makes Warsaw gain the status of an enclave of freedom and equality for this one day? And is it really an enclave for everyone?

Tells the story of Sadie and Bessie Delany, two African-American (they preferred "colored") sisters who both lived past the age of 100. They grew up on a North Carolina college campus, the daughters of the first African-American Episcopal bishop, who was born a slave, and a woman with an inter-racial background. With the support of each other and their family, they survived encounters with racism and sexism in their own different ways. Sadie quietly and sweetly broke barriers to become the first African-American home-ec teacher in New York City, while Bessie, with her own brand of outspokenness, became the second African-American dentist in New York City. At the ages of 103 and 101, they told their story to Amy Hill Hearth, a white New York Times reporter who published an article about them. The overwhelming response launched a bestselling book, a Broadway play, and this film.

A wryly humorous excavation of history and personal memory, Moose Jaw is a reflexive view of the filmmaker’s childhood town in the Canadian west, as a mythic symbol of nation-building and the ‘manifest destiny’ of North America. With its revitalization motto, ‘There’s a Future in Our past,” this post-colonial crash site ingests the filmmaker in its museumizing process as a once thriving rail head on the margins of (British) Empire.
